The Philippine Generations team are very sad to hear about the news on the recent typhoon in the Philippines, internationally called ‘Washi’. We would also like to express our sympathy and condolences to the families affected by the storm. The Filipino community here in London are doing they can to help our kababayan in Cagayan. We hope they will get all the help they need. The Philippine Generations team are discussing how we can further help fund-raise for the victims of the strom, will let you know what we plan to do very soon! For now please see below how you can help the people of Cagayan de Oro and the Advisory from the Philippine Embassy London. 






ADVISORY FROM THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY: “Tabang Sendong Appeal”

The Embassy of the Philippines in London expresses sympathy and condolences to the families of those who were affected by storm Sendong (international name: Washi) that battered Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City over the weekend.

In the spirit of solidarity, the Embassy enjoins all individuals and Filipino organizations in the United Kingdom to set aside cash donations to assist victims of the disaster in the two cities and their barangays.

The following institutions are accepting cash donations to help, in equal priority, victims in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro, through their Philippine bank accounts:
